Are Roses Overdone?
Are roses a good gift idea for Valentine’s Day, or has this been overdone? Are roses just too unoriginal?
It’s a very valid concern, especially if you have already given your girl or guy roses on a previous Valentine’s Day. The hardest part of Valentine’s Day gift giving is coming up with fresh presents each year. You have to think about things like: how am I going to top this next year? Have I already given this person the same gift before? Am I spending too much? Not Enough??
It’s can be stressful. Especially when you start thinking about if wether or not you getting “too common” of a gift.
I say yes, getting a dozen red roses for your Valentine is a bad idea. It’s just too plain, too common, too easy. But don’t rule our roses altogether, they can still be a great gift if you add a little creativity or as an added bonus to another gift.
There are hundreds of beautiful arrangements that you can buy online that are way better than your typical dozen roses. This is a nice, easy, option to save time and cut down on the stress level. Just hop on your computer and browse through pictures of roses and flowers, click on the one you want, and have it sent right to your or your special someone’s work. It’s no more expensive than going to the store yourself, in fact it’ll save you some gas money. They also have great combo gift baskets with roses and teddy bears, roses and chocolates, and roses and wine.
For the total custom, personalized Valentine’s Gift, you will need to go to the store and pick up some roses. Be sure to pick out a good color. Remember, different color roses mean different things! Check out this article to learn the different meanings: Rose Color Meanings. While you are at the store, grab your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife’s favorite bottle of wine, some chocolates and a small cute wicker basket. Stop by the card isle as well. You can grab a card if you want but a handmade card is better. But you need to get some Valentine’s Day wrapping paper with hearts and pretty stuff on it and some tissue paper which is usually on the card isle. Check out and go home. The hard part is over!
Now lay all of these goodies out on the table. Take the tissue paper and wrapping paper and cut out sections about twice the size of the wicker basket with the tissue paper being a little larger than the wrapping paper. Set the wrapping paper in the basket face down then put the tissue paper section on top of it. Now start arranging your gifts inside the basket. When all of the gifts are inside, crinkle the wrapping and tissue paper up around everything so it looks pretty and you are all done.
Now you have a totally unique, custom, personalized gift with roses!
